NY based beauty brand AVON launched a campaign in the UK with the Liverpool Ladies' Football Club. In the ad you can see the female soccer players getting ready for a game or showing off their skills, breaking with the cliché that you cannot be athletic and beautiful all at once.

As commercials are a part of everyday life, it is important that advertisers take into account the role they play in shaping people’s perception of what is normal. AVON – in this case – shows how being athletic and being beautiful can be two sides of the same coin. Being feminine and being fierce mutually reinforce each other in the expression (and campaign hashtag) „fiercely feminine“.
